Let’s Dive right into it.
China's State Sponsored AI Bot to Beat ChatGPT
The Chinese AI giant iFlytek has launched their own version of an AI system, called "Spark Model," that's said to surpass our beloved ChatGPT.
At a recent tech event in Hefei, the founder and president of iFlytek, Liu Qingfeng, stated that the Spark Model marks the "dawn of general artificial intelligence."
Now, we all know how tricky it can be to compare AI models, especially when OpenAI is keeping their training details and other proprietary information under wraps.
But according to Qingfeng, the Spark Model is "far ahead of the existing system that can be measured in China."
And here's the kicker - iFlytek's research team only started working on the Spark Model just six months ago!
In comparison, OpenAI started developing their precursor to the GPT products in 2015, with ChatGPT only being launched last year.
But hold your horses, folks. There's a catch.
ChatGPT is currently banned in China, meaning that OpenAI can't train their models on Chinese languages and culture.
This ban has been described as potentially stifling, especially when compared to Hong Kong, where there's no populace-wide ban on the use of ChatGPT and cryptocurrency
Also it looks like China is cracking down on it.
First person in China arrested for using ChatGPT
The first person in China was recently arrested for using ChatGPT to generate fake news stories.
A suspect identified only as "Hong" was detained and arrested in the Gansu district after cybersecurity specialists discovered that at least 20 accounts had simultaneously posted the fake news article to a popular blogging site.
China's laws regarding the use of social media are considered among the strictest in the world.
But it doesn't has to be this way necessarily.
The China-US rivalry in AI doesn’t have to be a zero-sum game.
But the world’s two leaders are going head to head in developing artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
It is now nearing the boiling point as the two countries’ lines of battle become drawn ever more clearly in policy documents, white papers and intelligence bulletins.
And last but not least, let's talk about CryptoGPT.
Exposed : Dark Truth About CryptoGPT !
The crypto market is a wild place, filled with both promising projects and outright scams, and it’s important to do your due diligence before investing your money.
One recent example is CryptoGPT, which started off looking like a promising project but quickly turned out to be a scam.
Many believe that the team behind CryptoGPT comprises shady individuals who have built a fake online reputation.
False claims have been made, such as the CEO, Jamila Jelani, stating that she had a successful growth campaign at Alibaba, even though her LinkedIn profile was only created a month ago. Other team members have made similar claims, but their LinkedIn profiles say otherwise.
To make matters worse, CryptoGPT claimed to have over 2 million users and hold a $250 million valuation, which seems far-fetched for a project in its early stages. I
t also appears that its tokenomics is questionable, with its second token, DXP, not even being a real token but just points.
Unfortunately, there has been no official statement from the CryptoGPT team to debunk these claims, so it's safe to say that this project is a complete scam.
The project claimed to have millions of users and a valuation of $250 million, but closer inspection revealed a lack of transparency and shady practices.
It's a good reminder to always do your due diligence, Always!
That's all for now, folks.
Stay curious, stay informed, and we'll see you in the next one :)
